DESIGN CONSULTANT

My background includes information design in many manifestations: Web sites and sub-sites (Internet and intranet); taxonomies; indices; technical manuals; style guides; directory structures; SEO; and so on.
OVERVIEW:

My information design projects, though greatly varied, share a common thread: a focus on the user. A print manual, every bit as much as a Web site, needs to be designed in a way that makes possible the quick access to what the user is looking for. Ergo: indexing a manual is akin to indexing a Web site, they share a common goal, usability.

I am familiar with, and have worked on, usability studies, designing directly from the test results. My writing is likewise founded in a focus on the audience. That's the keystone.
